Fight me

I see one on my way home almost everyday, and I will fight you. I have owned 11 Honda/Acuras and I cannot get behind any of the current lineup. They made the Ridgeline comepletly boring and everything else unnatural beasts, including the Clarity.
I’m just getting old I guess. I would love to own a Clarity. I tolerate the looks because of the aero functionality, but it does not look good.

The nsx and ilx look decent, everything else Acura makes looks terrible.
It might be a matter of if you can get behind Honda’s new angled grille thing. I like the look because it seems futuristic, the angled rear wheel wells, the egg shape, it dosent look angry. It’s not elegant but everything comes together well, in 30 years it will look dated but not as bad as the prius’s will.

It’s 2019, and the best looking vehicle in Hondas lineup is the Insight.
Never thought I’d say those words.

Oooh, so that’s where the Accord’s missing face went! They should gone with it instead of chopping it off.
I don’t know why the designer of the Crosstour is still truing to make “humpback whale” a key design element in all of Honda’s non-Ridgeline production cars, but, well, there it is. Again. just like the odyssey, civic, and accord, so goes the clarity.
All that said, I think it’s better overall than the accord, but the rear wheel skirt clashes with the rest of the design. The fronts don’t have skirts (for obvious reasons), so it’s jarring having them be present in such a way on rears. Why not just go full-coverage like the original Insight?

I own a veritable fleet of 2000s Hondas and I’m not a fan of the new civic/accord styling. The Insight and Clarity are the only ones that don’t look like a transformer movie reject.

I think the slight rear wheel coverage makes it, covering the whole wheel looks weird but doing it this way gives it an interesting element.

A coworker/friend bought one of the first ones of these to hit the lots late last year (in that burgundy-ish color they do). It’s not bad looking, but I wouldn’t call it good looking either. Super heavy but has the normal electric off-the-line pickup. He likes it, so that’s good for him, but I wouldn’t buy one.
The only issue he’s had as far as I know is that the front brake rotors keep rusting and pitting/grooving really badly because the pads rarely do work (regen braking); not sure how other manufacturers are avoiding this but he’s had them turned at the dealer twice already. Hopefully now that it isn’t salty season he’ll get more than a few weeks before they start making noise again.
